Since 1970 our experienced captains have taken you safely on trips and offer you unique moments of relaxation and enjoyment. The Elounda Boat Co-operation consists of 18 boats of various sizes, traditional or modern, with a total capacity of 800 passenger seats.
WE OFFER:
Trips to the historical island of Spinalonga with the Venetian Castle.
Every 30 minutes from 09:00 to 17:00.
5HOUR BOAT TRIP Cruise around elounda bay and the bay of the luxurious hotels from 11:00 till 16 :00 with stops at different coves. Included sandwich and drinks fruit
FISHING TRIPS Fish in the deep waters behind spinalonga island from 08:30 till 11:30. Bait and equipment provided. Included drink and snacks.
PRIVATE BOAT TRIPS Hire a boat and skip per for 1hour or longer to take you wherever you wish.

Spinalonga History

Prince George suceeded in getting the cretan Republic to proclaim a resolution.It was decided to make Spinalonga into a LEPER COLONY. The Turks were told that on Spinalonga all the lepers of Crete (and soon all Greece ) were to be concetrated, and there they would spend the rest of their lives. That was the end of the Turkish "occupation" of Spinalonga. In the same year 1903 the last Turks abandoned the Castle.
